Mediterranean Vista

Tonite´s post is another view from The Cami Murtas Barranco of the Easter weekend, nothing special about this, but i find it pleasing on the eye (well, my eye at least), it´s a classic Mediterranean view, the kind of thing you´d see on the postcard rack in thousand tourist shop´s in this part of the world.

Tomorrow´s post (and possibly Saturday´s post too) are going to be fauna and Flora related, i think it´s important to feature these, as these thing´s are part and parcel of the area we live in.

I´m feverishly wracking my brains as to what i´m going to be doing photographically speaking, this weekend, as Amazon informs me that my 5D MK II arrives tommorrow, so i guess i´d better download the Manual (in English) to get a sneak peek of the inner workings of the  5D MKII. This camera  is imported from France (It´s why we get it so quick, 3 days, i can´t fault Amazon on this) but if past history is anything to go by, the manual comes in: French,Italian,Portuguese and Spanish-i prefer to deal with technology in my own language, as especially  southern Europeans tend to move all the words around in a sentence making  verbic sense, actually, a nonsense for me!

    • It´s not a new model Mike-2008 model like yours i think, (but new of course and within my budget!),I´ve been playing around with it today and i like it, i don´t think a better camera is gonna make me a better photographer but i think i can at least recoup some of what i´ve spent out with this camera! it´s got a nice feel and weight and of ´course i can get movies of Sophie growing up!

      • Actually, the 5D MK II still seems new to me. I’m still on the original 5D from 2005. I’m perfectly happy with my old 5D. The low-light sensitivity in the newer models would be nice, but I just don’t shoot in low light that often. Or if I do, I want the slow shutter speeds that come with it.

      • This is an interesting comment Mike as i´m just about to post something lowlight tonite (please bear in mind i´ve only had a few hours practice with the 5D). Like you and your 5D, i think me and my 5D are gonna be buddies for many years to come!
